Wikipedia Changes Editing Rules

Wikipedia is changing the way that information is added to the site.  The once go-to site for information has lost credibility due to the fact that any one could add information. This just goes to show how the Internet and the emergence of web 2.0 is changing.

“We have really become part of the infrastructure of how people get information,” Wales told The New York Times. “There is a serious responsibility we have.”

The new changes are expected to be complete within two to three months.

WingSwept Receives Workforce Development Training Grant

WingSwept, the leading IT company in Garner, NC, has just signed the paperwork solidifying the nearly $16,000 workforce development training grant they will be receiving from the North Carolina Department of Commerce, Division of Workforce Development.

The Incumbent Workforce Development Grant has given the company an opportunity to better itself by funding the training necessary to improve the skills of staff members. The grant was formed under the federal Workforce Investment Act to protect jobs for current workers across North Carolina.

The Program is designed to benefit businesses by enhancing the skills of employees, thereby increasing productivity and the potential for company growth. It is intended to provide high-quality, easily accessible training and professional development services for our state’s workforce.

WingSwept will be working with Dancing Elephants Achievement Group to get the best possible training for the best value, and boost their already impressive sales performance, productivity, and efficiency.  Their focus is on becoming highly skilled in the techniques of selling and customer service throughout the Vertical Markets division, which serves clients in all 50 states.

“We are always seeking ways to better ourselves and our business despite the economy, and receiving this grant will be a great help.  It will allow our team to improve the quality of service we offer to existing and future customers,” says Jay Strickland, President of WingSwept. “Our staff members deserve comprehensive training and our clients deserve superior customer service.  Both of which are possible through utilizing the grant.”
